This role is responsible for owning and improving key system-configuration, data-structure, and reporting processes within UCBZeroWaste’s proprietary platform (W.A.T.E.R.).
The position combines hands-on execution with continuous improvement. The individual will first learn and operate within existing workflows—supporting vendor setup, OCR mapping, historical data processing, and baseline generation—then partner with Operations leadership to simplify, streamline, and improve system configurations and data flows over time.
Responsibilities
Systems Configuration: Set up and maintain vendors, materials, and related configurations within the W.A.T.E.R. system to ensure accurate data capture and reporting.
OCR Mapping Management: Configure, review, and maintain OCR mappings to ensure invoice and document data is correctly extracted and processed in W.A.T.E.R.
Data Structure & Integrity: Ensure prospect and client data is accurately entered, structured, and validated across systems, maintaining high data quality standards.
Baseline Data Processing: Support the baseline creation process by organizing, mapping, and processing historical client data to produce accurate and timely baseline outputs.
Spreadsheet Management: Maintain and enhance operational trackers, validation sheets, and baseline workbooks using Excel.
Data Validation & Reconciliation: Review system outputs against source documents and spreadsheets to identify discrepancies and resolve data issues.
Qualifications
Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to interpret operational and baseline data, identify trends or gaps, and support data-driven decision-making.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision when working with system configurations, data validation, and reporting outputs.
Systems & Data Management: Experience working within proprietary systems or databases, including configuring records, validating data structures, and maintaining data integrity.
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze operational data and metrics to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
Spreadsheet Management: Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliation.
Database Management: Experience managing, reviewing, and maintaining structured datasets across operational systems (no coding required).
Reporting: Ability to prepare, validate, and interpret operational and baseline-related reports for leadership and sales teams.
