Account Manager - B2B Sales

UsedCardboardBoxes.com, founded in 2006, is the largest processor of USED gaylord totes, produce totes, resin/octo-bins and shipping boxes in North America. We pay more than recycling rates because we don’t recycle! We REUSE, RESELL and RETURN them, as boxes, right here in the US. USED totes are sold to major retailers for reverse logistics, or to large scrap processors (metal, plastic, paper, etc.) to sort/transport commodities. USED shipping boxes are sold to major retailers for distribution from DC to store and many are used to create UCB’s eco-friendly moving kits, sold online. As a closed-loop RETURN program, boxes can be sorted, inspected, palletized, inventoried and RETURNED back to the original vendor, for reuse.

Work Hours and Schedule for PH: 8:00am - 5:00pm PST/CST/EST - Monday to Friday

Job Summary:
The Account Manager – B2B Sales is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of existing customer accounts to maximize their lifetime value. This role focuses on customer retention, reorder velocity, SKU expansion, and account health. Account Managers are stewards of the customer lifecycle, ensuring that every order, interaction, and engagement reinforces trust, value, and growth. This is a post-close role that begins once a customer is converted by a Sales Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers post-first sale. Own the full lifecycle from onboarding through reorder, expansion, and re-engagement.
  • Order Growth: Drive reorder frequency, volume increases, and SKU adoption by proactively managing customer needs and surfacing relevant inventory.
  • Retention & Loyalty: Build strong customer relationships through responsiveness, proactive communication, and operational coordination.
  • CRM Management: Maintain clean records of communications, activity logs, and lifecycle stage data. Use CRM tools to manage follow-ups and reporting.
  • Customer Expansion: Surface opportunities for location growth, SKU expansion, or upsells based on evolving customer needs.
  • Re-engagement: Reactivate lapsed or inactive accounts through targeted outreach and follow-up.

Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of experience in account management, client services, or sales support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with a proactive approach to achieving goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
  • Comfort with managing a high-volume book of transactional accounts
